This Seagrove vest is made from a vintage hand embroidered tablecloth. It is a one of one. Once it’s gone, it’s gone.
I try to make my designs as versatile as possible so this vest could potentially fit a size UK6 up to a UK14 (depending on how much ease you prefer to your garments) but please check the measurements and make sure it will fit you before purchasing.
There are darts to add shape at the bust and the top measures 40” in circumference at the widest part of the bust and it has a cropped length of 17” (measured from the nape of the neck to the hem). Or 11’ from the armpit to the hem.
For reference I am bust 34”, waist 28”, hips 37” and I’m 5ft 6’.
It is a beautiful off-white 100% linen cloth with colourful floral embroidery and brass snap closures.
I kept the beautiful original trim along as many edges as I could, and used french seams on the inside for a flawless finish. As with all hand embroidered pieces the designs aren’t completely symmetrical but I do my best to marry up the patterns as best I can. The condition of this linen is stunning. It has beautiful embroidery on the front and the back. No marks or holes are present.
This one is a beauty, lovingly made to KEEP.
